Nominations called for local NZERN delegates

Wednesday 26 November

The planned AGM on Sunday 30 November has been deferred, because not enough branch delegates were planning to attend, which affected the AGM quorum requirements.

As a result, a number of delegates have stood down, to enable elections to be held.

Nominations are called for a delegate to represent NZERN members for each of the following areas.

  • Invercargill City
  • Southland District
  • Dunedin City Otago Peninsula Only
  • Timaru District
  • Banks Peninsula
  • Selwyn District
  • Porirua City
  • Wellington City
  • Kapiti Coast District
  • Horowhenua-Manawatu-Palmerston North
  • Masterton-South Wairarapa-Carterton
  • North Shore City
  • Auckland City
  • Waitakere City

Members can nominate themselves or another member by contacting NZERN.

If more than one person is nominated for an area, an election by email will be conducted. When enough delegates have been elected to meet the AGM quorum requirements, the AGM will be called at one months notice. All delegates will be expected to attend by phone conference or in person.

The AGM will have two agenda items

  • Adoption of annual financial report (for Charities Commission)
  • Adoption of the new constitution

National elections will then be organised using the new constitution.
