NZERN has a limited number of internship vacancies available for post graduate students.
Work Ready
The internships bridge the gap between formal education and enough experience to get a good paid job. Interns work to industry professional standards with allowance given for extra time.
Interns are encouraged to take responsibility as their experience and skills develop.
Availability
Internships are available all year
round and priority is given to the most capable applicants with a good attitude.
Costs
Interns
are fully responsible for their own costs and no salary or remuneration
is offered for internship positions. Interns are required to carry
comprehensive travel insurance with adequate cover for medical
and personal liability expenses for the duration of their assignments.
Assistance is provided with looking for accommodation and local
New Zealand culture.
Office Hours
Normal hours are Monday to Thursday 9am - 5pm. Friday
9am - 12noon. The office is also open at other times to enable
NZERN members to meet after they finish work and in the weekends
by arrangement. Each day starts with a brief staff meeting at
9am. The office is fully equipped. Tea and coffee are supplied.
