Description
NZERN has an unpaid internship position always available for a radio journalism student. Would suit a keen person who wants to make radio magazine style programs about conservation. First come - first served. Work involves recording in-depth interviews about biodiversity conservation to support community lead ecological restoration projects. This involves recording field interviews and office based editing.

Resources
Software available includes:

Office 2003
Windows Media Server
Sound editing suite including an Allen & Heath MixWizard 16 desk

There is an extensive biodiversity library to find answers to those problems you will meet.

Skills
A good natural history education or interest would be an advantage. You need to be keen to learn new skills, be a good worker and like working as part of a happy team of very experienced volunteers. There will be opportunities to give presentations at the occasional seminar.

Conditions
The internship is unpaid

We can provide a signed confirmation letter or internship contract for your professor.

NZERN is unable to assist with visa applications or work permits.

NZERN is unable to provide accommodation or food.

The office is fully equipped, tea and coffee is supplied

Duration
Typically interns come for several months full time or part time.

The position is open until filled.
