Conservation Camera Operator- Photographer Internship

Description
NZERN has an unpaid internship always available for a
student filmmaker. Would suit a keen person who wants to make
magazine style documentaries about conservation. First come -
first served. Work involves telling stories about biodiversity
conservation to support community lead ecological restoration
projects. This involves patient natural history filming in rugged
conditions, recording interviews with dedicated men and women,
time lapse photography and office based logging of shots.

Will need to have own digital video camera OR professional digital stills camera. Tapes and batteries will be supplied.
There is an extensive biodiversity library to find answers to those problems you will encounter.
Skills
A good
natural history education or interest would be an advantage as
well as a passion for the art of filmmaking. You need to be keen
to learn new skills, be a good worker and like working as part
of a happy team of very experienced volunteers. This team includes
2 existing volunteer film makers who also have their own cameras.
There will be opportunities to give presentations at the occasional
seminar.

You need to bring your own camera. Tapes and batteries will be supplied.
We can provide a signed confirmation letter or internship contract for your professor.
NZERN is unable to assist with visa applications or work permits.

The office is fully equipped, tea and coffee is supplied
